Makes me shiver just looking! It’s been so unusually warm here that my outdoor plants are starting to bud…not good considering we can still get a hard freeze and/or several inches of snow at Easter.

Oh dear, yes, a long cold winter for you… not finished yet I suspect … Nice photo there from your Canon EOS Rebel XS on Jan 27th, I see… Here we were worried when we had a day of only 15°C max [12°C at night] (up the hill where I live… it was slightly warmer 17°C on the coast)… but this was after a very unusual night with heavy hail for an hour… very unusual to have hail here.. 2 days later it was nearly back to normal 19°C and warm sun.. but this is the worse part of our winter now… Keep warm Carina, I guess you will be chopping some logs today… like my niece in Slocan, BC.. with her 2 foot or more of snow… she loves it living in the forest.. but it is what she has gotten used to… !

well Sergei he stays outdoors as he is pretty much feral and adopted me, he goes under the house if it gets too cold 😉 Nala my female she stays indoors pretty much few ventures outside if not too cold for her 🙂

I guess when you see paw tracks in the snow, you may think of her and what times you had together… I’m sorry… but we all cannot live forever… and life must go on, and we must try to make it the best we can for ourselves and others we hold dear…
